Warehouse Laborer – Various Jobs

Venture Metals is looking for a full-time, General Laborer/ Warehouse Laborer.

Must be motivated, hardworking individual for our warehouse scrap facility.

Someone that can work by themselves and with coworkers. Must be respectful of company policy, attentive to work materials while making safety a priority. Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds and has general knowledge of tools. Work is outdoors. Forklift drivers preferred.

We will train you on the different grades of materials, operating scale and provide required PPE.

Scrap metal/waste experience is a plus.

  • Work is open climate warehouse and outdoor metal sorting and processing
  • Monday-Friday: 7:00am -5:00pm; Saturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm – frequent overtime given
  • Must pass drug screening and background check
  • Hourly Wage / Weekly Pay / Company Benefits – Health / Dental / Vision / 401k Match

Other positions available (Forklift Drivers, Welders, Machine Operators, Equipment Mechanic, Truck Drivers). Please specify in your application.

Production Welder

Venture Metals is looking for a full-time, Production Welder.

Must be motivated, hardworking individual for our warehouse scrap facility.

Someone that can work by themselves and with coworkers. Must be respectful of company policy, attentive to work materials while making safety a priority.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task
  • Must perform Plasma, MIG, TIG, stick and other types of weld based on scrap project needs
  • Cut, torch, de-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture

Requirements

  • 7+ years commercial welding experience
  • 7+ MIG, TIG and stick welding experience
  • Able to pass a 3G test

Able to pass a FIT safety PPE test

  • Current, valid certification a plus
  • Able to work in a noncontrolled environment

Safety Manager

Venture Metals is looking for a full-time, Safety Manager.

Works with and through management, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and to assist in the achievement of profitability/productivity.  The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations, and actively supports health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing health and safety plans/policies in the workplace according to legal guidelines and regulations with OSHA, DOT, and ISO
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Monitor compliance to polices and laws by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Advises management on safety concerns and preventative actions
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
  • Maintains Safety files and records
  • Assists and maintain environmental reports, Storm Water Permits
  • Assists in the development and upgrading safety programs, (ie, Safety Incentive program)
  • Plans and implements training for new employees in workplace safety

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and observation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and management
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Developing Relevant policies.
  • General Computer Skills
  • Desire to learn, and self-motivation

Work Availability:

  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance, that will be determined by management
  • Must be available and willing to work Saturdays, to meet business needs
  • Limited travel, that might result in overnight

Position is available for immediate hire-2 weeks out.

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a full time, Administrative Assistant working in the Sales/Marketing Division of a scrap company. Working in a professional work environment in a strong and growing company.

 

Responsibilities: would include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate executive communications, including taking phone calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients, vendors and staff.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries as requested by management.
  • Arrange corporate events, manage office support and supplies
  • Provide primary back-up support for Venture Metals Front Desk responsibilities. Includes but limited to occupying front desk, answering incoming phone calls, greeting guests, open, sort and scan daily incoming mail.
  • Generating periodical reports and presentations.
  • Ability to multitask, manage workload and meet required deadlines
  • Perform special projects at management’s request.
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
  • Arranges vendor appointments.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters.
  • Assist Sales/Marketing, HR/Accounting and Operations with assigned tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of mid to high level administrative support.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office skills. Excel, Word, 10-key
  • Strong Verbal, Written communications skills
  • Strong Computer Skills.

Position is available for immediate hire-2 weeks out.
